Photoshop Assignment Sheet

I just finished my Photoshop Assignment Sheet project. I was a little nervous, I will admit. All of the other Photoshop projects I have completed have been very well instructed, whereas this one was very basic. It was a lot of figure the details out on your own kind of work. I enjoyed it a lot though, because it really made me challenge myself and think about the things that I have been learning. When I really have to think about how and why, without just being told what to do, it makes it sink in and stick with me even more. Even though the project I chose may look kind of basic, there was a lot of small details that I had to pay attention to. I think that is what really made this pop, was the small details that I would not have thought to have much importance, but then I realized it was what made it great. I took the basic design and added a little bit of personal touch to it with different fonts and sizing of things. I really enjoyed this project and can’t wait to learn even more, and create more projects from my own brainstorming.
The only real challenge I ran into was trying to get the bottom shadow how I wanted it. I tried the drop shadow style, but it just wasn’t quite what I had pictured. Then I tried the smudge tool, as suggested in the tutorial. That was closer, but I just couldn’t get it to look right. Finally, with a lot of adjusting, erasing and redoing, and a helpful suggestion from a classmate, I got it how I was picturing it.
Check out my final project!
